Set in an old farmyard in the rural hinterland of Medieval Kilkenny, Wallslough Village have created a holiday village of "old world" charm. Located on an elevated site and set in mature trees overlooking a natural lake, the cottages sit in  luxurious surroundings steeped in asthetic charm for our guests. The six thatched cottages and two carefully renovated pre fammine buildings will transport you back in time to an era when the pace of life was slower and one had a greater affinity and contact with nature. With their rustic design the cottages still provide all the modern conveniences necessary for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

Located in a quiet rural area just two and a half miles ftom the Medieval City of Kilkenny lies Wallslough Village. Also on the farm is an international size equestrian centre, and a natural spring fed fishing lake. The thatched cottages are on an elevated site overlooking the lake with spectacular views of the Kilkenny countryside. Located just 2.5 miles (4.8km) from Kilkenny city  we are within easy reach of amenities including train stations in both Thomastown and Kilkenny, golf courses in Mount Juliet and Kilkenny, fisihing, tourist attractions (like Kilkenny Castle and Dunmore Caves). This makes us the ideal base for touring the entire southeast of Ireland. In close proximity to the the holiday cottages is a forty thousand square foot equestrian facility with tuition, trekking  and shows year round. It is just over 1.5 hours drive from Dublin. When you stay in Wallslough you will be able to spend your time exploring the many historical sights such as Kilkenny Castle and Carhedral, or the world famous Rock of Cashel. There are many excellent golf courses within one hours drive of Lisheen Castle. Mount Juliet and Kilkenny are both  magnificent 18 hole parkland courses, only a few minutes away.The river Nore which flows through County Kilkenny, offers many hours of pleasure for visitors who enjoy angling. For horse lovers, Kilkenny is a treasure trove,with many opportunities to enjoy a day at the races, hunting with the local hunt or visiting one of the world famous stud farms. Kilkenny is perfect for guests who would like to spend time shopping or just enjoying a "Pint" with the locals in one of it's many pubs.
