This is a walking holiday suitable for occasional hikers, regular hikers, or people who always wanted to try hiking but never got around to it. If you are a reasonably fit, active individual, then this is your opportunity to sample the most rewarding pastime in the world. You'll follow green roads, tracks of former horse and cart roads, walking paths, and sometimes you will have to walk over the open ground. Meander along rivers, canals, the shore of the Irish Sea, through woods, and among mountains. Along the way you will be amazed by the antiquities, historical remains, the vistas, and locals eager for a chat. Our experienced & professional walking guide is knowledgeable on flora & fauna, history and folklore, as well as all being an excellent raconteur. A picnic lunch is provided each day.

around the city, or enjoying some of the spa treatments at the hotel.

the hotel to Killiney Hill, a 15km walk. Dine at leisure in the
hotel or one of the nearby restaurants.
Monday

The tour starts with a bit of a cheat. Today we'll use Land Rovers to go
on an eco-safari. You'll leave the road behind and drive along beaches, through
rivers or up muddy tracks; You'll retrace the steps of pilgrims & explore
breathtaking scenery & local culture. Lunch will be at a pub in the
mountains above Dublin. The group will dine together in the hotel.
Tuesday 12th April
The physical effort starts today, but gently as you explore The Grand Canal Way.
Being a canal bank walk, the important feature of this route is that it is
flat!!! The route passes through small towns and villages as well as
taking in a great range of historical sites and buildings from pre-historic
times to the 20th Century. Dine at leisure in the hotel or one of the nearby
restaurants.
Wednesday 13th April
Glenmalure
- Glendalough - Laragh
Your walks will take us to the early Christian site of Glendalough, "the

Its setting is unforgettable, between two lakes in a spectacular valley with
high-sided cliffs. Nestled in this spot is a complete round tower and a church,
known as St Kevin's Kitchen. Dine at leisure in the hotel or one of the nearby
restaurants.
