There is much to do and see in the area. The beautiful tropical gardens of Garnish Island are a short boat ride away and Bantry House, one of Ireland’s great stately homes is a short drive away. Sáimín Só is located between two championship golf courses and is in close proximity to some spectacular walking routes, including the beautiful Bamboo Park and the native Glengarriff Forestry Park.

There is fishing, sea angling, sailing, equestrian pursuits, watersports and adventure centres in the area and of course some of the most spectacular scenery in Ireland. There are also some wonderful restaurants in the locality.

3 minutes walk from the Main House is The Guest House.  On the ground floor there are 2 twin bedrooms and the large hallway bathroom has a shower cubicle.  Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a king sized bed and the other with twin beds.
