Some words of warning!!
This will be the sporting event of the century in Ireland. Already somebody in the entertainment business has said he'll pay one million euro to rent two luxury villas on the course for the week, To buy an apartment there would set you back a million, or a detached house three million. As in Detroit in 2004, tickets will be distributed via random lottery. Expect tickets there to double, even treble, in a blackmarket.price war. They say spectators at the K-Club should be limited to 40,000 a day, but we'll be surprised if half that number of tickets are available for purchase. Helicopters are already hard to book. All 10,000 rooms in sixty hotels within a 90-minute drive of the course have already been snapped up (and yes, we do have a few of them available).
