Party is an amazing area - St Patrick cast the snakes out of Ireland from a mountain top just down the road. Movie stars get married in the local church, Ballintubber Abbey, that has been continuously used as a place of worship for over 1,000 years. Ashford Castle, the world famous resort with horse riding and golf, is 15 minutes away. The secluded old estate is a heritage area of international scientific interest, with unique geology and flora. The house is set in 250 acres of unspoilt woodland, bog, pasture, parkland and an organic farm with cows, sheep and vegetables. Wildlife abounds on this peaceful sanctuary and the estate is rich in historic and archeological remains. From the gates the avenue runs up by the shores of Lough Carra - a wild fowl preserve classed as of international importance.

Partry House East Wing is a wing of this historic house and overlooks mature gardens and Lough Carra. The wing
is self-contained with its own separate entrance and front door. It sleeps 4/5
in a double, twin and single room with three bathrooms. The living room has an
open fire with television and video. The 
fully equipped kitchen/ dining room has
lakes views as does the living room and two main bedrooms. Separate laundry
facilities are also provided. East wing guests have access to an all
weather-enclosed hot tub. There are lakeshore walks on the estate. A boat with engine is bookable for fishing or just boating from the pier, and a
local boatman can be arranged if required. Another popular amenity is the
secluded, all-weather Garden Hot Tub seating six, a relaxing way to enjoy the
magical surroundings.
Many visitors have remarked on the wonderfully peaceful atmosphere at Partry but the estate is also within easy reach of facilities for golf and horse-riding with regular race meetings taking place at Ballinrobe Racecourse.
