THIS FINE PERIOD CITY HOUSE, set in landscaped gardens near the shores of Galway Bay, was built in 1807 by an officer in Nelson's fleet. Attractive vaulted ceilings, marble fireplaces and antique furniture combine to create an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming. Galway city and the sandy beaches of Salthill are within walking distance. The house is in a quiet and attractive suburb of Galway city. It stands in a surprisingly large high-walled garden which used to be the orchard. It is a great place for children and adults alike to enjoy a game of football or croquet. There is a conservatory that opens into a high-walled, tiled, Italianate patio which is ideal for sunbathing and summer evening barbecues.
A recently converted apartment at garden-level is also available to rent. Coarse and game fishing, championship golf courses, horse-riding, hill-walking, traditional Irish pubs and excellent restaurants can be enjoyed locally.

Three elegant reception rooms. Fully equipped modern kitchen with Aga cooker.
Two double bedrooms, one with power shower room en suite; one twin bedroom; main
bathroom with bath and power shower. There are extra twin bedrooms with en suite
facilities at the garden level. They are normally shut off from the rest of the house but
can be made available an additional cost These are warm and comfortable and
stylishly furnished with antiques. There are two bathrooms in this apartment, one with
bath and shower and the other with shower.
Cable television, VCR, coin telephone, washing machine and dryer, oil fired central heating throughout, crib, high chair. Babysitting by arrangement.
