Moy House, Lahinch, Co Clare

Moy House was originally built in the mid 18th Century as home to Sir Augustine Fitzgerald. In its majestic splendour, the house prevails over the breathtaking Lahinch Bay, set on 15 acres of grounds adorned by mature woodland and a picturesque river.  Major restoration , whilst preserving its unique character, style and ambience, has made it a place of great luxury and comfort.

There are a number of private sitting areas dispersed throughout the house. 

Ground floor: Dining room, library/hall, large  well equipped country-style kitchen. 3 bedrooms with zip-link beds (king or twin) and 3 bathrooms. All the bedrooms have tea & coffee making facilities, telephones & modem sockets for computers. The linens and towels are outstanding, with fluffy bathrobes and excellent soaps.

First floor: Elegant drawing room with views of the Atlantic Ocean. 5 bedrooms all with private bathrooms.

At the top of the house is a viewing platform from which you can survey the ocean.

The house is close to Lahinch's world-famous championship links course and the new Doonbeg golf links. There are long sandy beaches for surfing and sun bathing. the Cliffs of Moher, the amazing Burren landscape , the Ailwee Caves and Lisdoonvara sulphur spa wells are popular attractions. Lahinch is also convenient for visiting the Aran Islands by ferry from Doolin.  A little further up the coast there is horse riding available on the empty sandy beaches. And there are lots of amusements for children of all ages from Harry Potter like castles to more traditional amusements.
