About an hour north of Dublin, in the heart of a scenic land steeped in history and legend, this beautifully restored gate lodge and cottage occupy an idyllic secluded setting and have retained their old-world charm. An ideal setting for a romantic break, they provide spacious, cosy and comfortable accommodation, with access to the owner's extensive grounds and lovely walks.  Slane, with Newgrange and the historic Hill of Slane, is nearby as is the busy market town of Ardee, with its ancient castles and restaurants.  Clay pigeon shooting, fishing, horse riding, swimming-pool, pitch and putt, and various golf courses locally. There are many gardens, archaeological and heritage sites to visit within easy driving distance. Pubs and restaurants are within 2 miles.

The Mooretown Gate Lodge has a spacious living/dining-room with open fire and sofa-bed (for 1 child). Kitchen. Double bedroom. Shower room/W.C. Wooden floors throughout.

The newly restored two storey Mooretown  Steward's House is set in mature grounds.  It has a living room with open fire and wooden floor. Spacious, well-equipped, fitted kitchen/dining-room with wooden floor. W.C. 

First floor: Spacious double bedroom with 5ft bed. Twin-bedded room with 2ft 6in beds. Bathroom/W.C. with over-bath shower.

Both houses have shops within 1½ miles  TV Video & Radio, Washing machine/tumble dryer,  Microwave,   Dishwasher and the use of  60-acres of farmland grounds
