Maddoxtown House

These gabled, Victorian-gothic cut-stone coach houses have been converted to offer three very comfortable self-catering cottages on a working farm (two with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, one with 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms), five miles from the mediaeval city of Kilkenny.

Maddoxtown is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the peace of the countryside or use as a base from which to explore the many historical and archaeological sites of Kilkenny and surrounds. Kilkenny is an important craft centre. Fishing, shooting, horse-riding and golf are all available locally. Gowran Park races and Mount Juliet Estate are close by.

Facilities: Tennis court, billiards room, games room and gardens for guests.

Ground Floor: Large sitting room with stove, Adjoining fully fitted kitchen.

Upstairs: One large ensuite double bedroom, Two twin rooms and bathroom.

Coach House II - Sleeps 5/6
Ground Floor: Large sitting room with open fire, Adjoining fully fitted kitchen,
Large ensuite double bedroom, suitable for the less able.

Upstairs: Two twin bedrooms and bathroom.

Gardener Cottage - sleeps 3/4
Ground Floor: Large sitting room with open fire, Separate fully fitted modern kitchen.

Upstairs: One large double bedroom,
One twin room and bathroom.

For large groups the main house may also be taken. It is a charming Georgian home that is run as a small country house hotel and has 6 bedrooms, all with private bath
