Two early Georgian cottages in the cathedral close, restored and modernised by their present owner. The setting is reminiscent of Beatrix Potter's The Tailor of Gloucester! Narrow lanes, the towering gothic cathedral, the ancient city walls. Behind the houses a maze of passageways leads into a charming brickyard which is private to the houses in that block.

Local attractions: The historic city of Derry is on your doorstep. To the North East are the beaches at Magillan Strand, where the Earl Bishop of Derry refereed interdenominational races. Beyond that is the Giant's Causeway. To the North is The Inishowen Peninsula. To the West is Errigal Mountain and the lovely gardens of Glenveagh Castle whilst to the South are the Sperrin Mountains. Fishing, golfing, riding and a range of other sports are available locally. The city has many fashionable bistros and wine bars for informal eating.

Whether you seek a honeymoon retreat, a cosy base for a family holiday, or a city break this is the ideal place. It is small, as you would expect in a cottage, but not cramped and it is well finished. There is a pub on the opposite side of the road, but the cottage windows are double glazed and have shutters to block out the sounds of any late night revels. There are three free parking places opposite the cottages, for which car owners will have to fight. Other than that there is public car parking about 5 minutes away.
