The main living area boasts a fully equipped modern kitchen as well as a more sophisticated dining area with wood burning stove. In addition there is a large sitting room with open fire which has huge windows on three sides giving stunning views over the islands of Clew Bay to the south and to Clare Island and Inish Turk to the west.

A separate TV room with DVD and video can prove a welcome distraction if required. There is also a well lit and extensive patio for outdoor eating.

Three large double bedrooms each have en-suite bath and shower. A fourth double bedroom is located beside a guest toilet and cloakroom which has an electric shower for all day hot water. A large children's playroom can be rearranged as a fifth bedroom with twin beds for an additional charge. The garage which is integral to the house has a washing machine, clothes dryer and utility kitchen providing an ideal ‘wet room’ facility for use after beach days, walking and fishing trips.

Mulranny’s golden sandy beaches (one has a Blue Flag and life-guards) and 9-hole links golf-course are just a ten minute drive away. Four other 18-hole championship golf-courses are within easy reach. The local shop is five minutes walk away. It adjoins a pub with bar food and music evenings and also has a more formal restaurant. The village of Mulranny which is two miles away has two larger shops, several pubs, a four-star hotel and a choice of restaurants. Lighthouse Hill is an ideal base for exploring Achill Island (7 miles), climbing the holy mountain of Croagh Patrick (20 miles) or shopping in the historic towns of Newport, Westport and Castlebar. The National Museum of Country Life and the Neolithic Monument at the Ceide Fields are both interesting day trips.
