Kilbaha
Cottage, West Clare
|
If you love nature, beauty,
peace and good food, then Kilbaha Cottage could be what you are looking for. The
West Clare coast has a lot to offer, and Loop Head in particular is an unspoilt
and wild part of the Atlantic west coast of Ireland.
The house has two double bedrooms - one en-suite - and one bunk room, and a little loft area that could accommodate others if required, potentially sleeping eight in total. It also has the standard modern conveniences, and a sauna and open fires. Driftwood is plentiful on the beach. The cottage is on ten acres and has a rocky cove and extensive shoreline. with its own cove on Kilbaha Bay. The Kerry mountains form a backdrop to the panoramic sea views from the house. Although the house has been built in the style of an old Irish cottage, all the comforts of today have been added; these include flag floors, a sauna (perfect after a dip in the ocean), open fires, and some 'house' lobster pots to chance your luck with off the rocks outside the front door. Loop Head may not be as well known as Kerry or elsewhere, it is an even more gorgeous area with lots of amenities. Fresh shellfish can be bought from the boats passing the door, and the area is well known for diving, golf, sailing etc. |
