Glenlosh Valley Country Cottages are located in the scenic West of Ireland. The valley which is surrounded by the Maumturk mountains is the essence of peace and tranquility.

Glenlosh Valley is a privately owned secluded 1700 hectare estate, serviced by it's own road,  ensuring each cottage has ample privacy.

The valley is ideal for the family, hillwalker, painter, photographer and for most leisurely pursuits, yet convenient to the great lakes Corrib and Mask renowned for their fishing. Boat hire and boat trips are available on the Loughs.

Fine beaches are 30 minutes away and horse riding and golf can be enjoyed in the Joyce Country, the name given to this part of Connemara.

Connemara is the heart of West of Ireland Tourism. From Glenlosh Valley you have access to such delights as: Westport, Clifden, Leenane, Cong, Ballinrobe & Oughterard towns; Galway City; Inisbofin & Aran Islands; Connemara National Park, Glen Coaghan Horseshoe, Maumturks & Twelve Pins Mountains; Lough Mask & Corrib salmon fishing lakes.

You may stay here in one of these six different and beautiful cottages.


Watt's Cottage

Small charmingly converted stone cottage, with a stream nearby and tucked into a hill overlooking the Glenlosh winding river with beautiful views of the valley.

Sleeps 4, one double and one twin bedrooms, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen/dining area and lounge room, traditional turf burning fire, central heating, TV and washing machine.


Sithán Cottage

Stone cottage built to the highest standards and attractively furnished in traditional style. This is the first Cottage you meet upon entering the valley, and it is situated on the slopes of the Maumturk Mountains.

Sleeps 6, two double bedrooms, one of which is en-suite,and one twin bedroom, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen/dining area and lounge room, traditional turf burning fire, central heating, TV and washing machine.


Arthur's Cottage

Old world charm in a romantic stone converted cottage. Only recently fitted with electricity, it still has it's candlelight chandelier. Situated at the head of the valley surrounded by spectacular views and within easy reach of the farm area. Note the beautiful wrought iron spiral staircase, which adds to the romantic atmosphere.

Sleeps 4, two double bedrooms, one with extra toilet and washbasin, bathroom, fully equipped kitched/dining area and lounge room, traditional turf burning fire, central heating, TV and washing machine.


Lydon 1 Cottage

Situated on the valley floor, this cottage has astounding views of the surrounding mountains. With such a high level of comfort and specification it is ideal for the busy family. It is situated adjacent to the Lydon 2 Cottage.

Sleeps 6+2, two double bedrooms, one of which is en-suite,and one twin bedroom, extra two persons can be accommodated on the lounge sofa bed, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen/dining area and lounge room, traditional turf burning fire, central heating, TV, washing machine and dish washer.


Lydon 2 Cottage

Situated on the valley floor, this cottage has astounding views of the surrounding mountains. With such a high level of comfort and specification it is ideal for the busy family. It is situated adjacent to the Lydon 1 Cottage.

Sleeps 6+2, two double bedrooms, one of which is en-suite,and one twin bedroom, extra two persons can be accommodated on the lounge sofa bed, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen/dining area and lounge room, traditional turf burning fire, central heating, TV, washing machine and dish washer.


Situated high on the slopes of Gowlaunlee, a fork off Letterbreckaun on the Maumturk Mountains, it has a panoramic view of the valley and is ideal for an extended family group who are holidaying together.  

Sleeps 8 in 3 ensuite bedrooms - double bed, double + single and three single beds.  Fully equipped  kitchen with microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washer/dryer etc. There is a large open area consisting of a dining room, sitting room with  traditional stone fireplace and  an adjoining garden room overlooking the hills and rivers of the valley. The house is centrally heated.
