Castle ffrench is steeped in history as it was built as a
replacement for a previous castle on a different site which itself replaced a castle built
by the ffrench family soon after they bought the estate in late circa 16th century. It is
surrounded by woods, parkland and paddocks. The Coachman's house has been recently
restored to a very high standard and is now two seperate apartments, one down and one up.
Golf fishing and riding are available locally, and the house is an easy drive to the city
of Galway. This is very much a place to escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life -
it is very peaceful and very private.
