Description: One of the
few magnificent modern homes on Slea Head, the house and grounds are beautifully
maintained. It overlooks the beautiful Blasket Islands and wild Atlantic headlands, the
setting for the movies Ryan's Daughter and Far and Away. The cottage stands in two acres
of gardens surrounded by a traditional dry-stone wall offering complete privacy. Lovely
golden beaches are close by as well as an 18 hole golf course set amidst magnificent
scenery. Within ten miles is the delightful harbour town of Dingle which is renowned for
its dolphin, its excellent restaurants and some of the most welcoming pubs in Ireland!
Accommodation
Ground Floor -- Large L-shaped living room with massive stone fireplace; dining area and
open-plan fitted and completely equipped kitchen (electric Halogen hob and electric oven);
study with wood- burning stove and double French doors overlooking the islands; utility
room; drying room and fuel storage room.
First Floor -- Four double bedrooms (two are king-size); one children's bedroom with
bunk beds; two bathrooms.
Television (satellite), VCR, CD-Tape-Radio system, coin telephone, washing machine and
dryer, electric convector and storage heating throughout, crib. Babysitting by
arrangement. No pets.
Fuel is provided on arrival, but guests are asked to
replace the fuel that they have used, so there is some available for the next guests.
Refundable security deposit required on arrival. Though the house has beds for 8 adults
and 4 children it is too crowded with that number of people, so the owner prefers a
maximum of 6 adults or 4 adults and 2 children, of whatever age.
