Croghan Hill Stables has an excellently restored traditional two story stone farmhouse ideal for self catering in Ireland. It consists of two large bedrooms which will sleep six people.

It also contains a dining room, sitting room, toilet and shower. The farmhouse is central heated and very cosy. Some of the features of the dining and sitting room are an open hearth fire and farmhouse furniture.

It is an ideal setting for those who want to self cater. The house is nestled in a very tranquil setting. There are magnificent traffic free walks and spectacular views of most of central Ireland from the Hill of Croghan. Croghan Stables includes a magnificently restored 200 year old farmhouse. This self catering accommodation includes: central heating, double glazing, open hearth fire, magnificent bedrooms, panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and a central location from where one can sample the unique archeological and architectural countryside of north County Offaly.

Croghan Hill Stables is located on Croghan Hill, an ancient volcanic hill which is 770 feet above sea level with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. It is in the centre of hunting, fishing, shooting, golfing and walking country.

There is excellent trout fishing in the lakes of Westmeath, Lough Ennel, Owel, Lene, Derravaragha and the rivers Inny and Barrow, with a host of other smaller rivers.

Hunting is by arrangement with the local hunts in Westmeath, Offaly and Kildare.

For the golf lovers, clubs are available at Mullingar, Delvin, Edenderry, Kildare, Daingean and Tullamore.

The Slieve Bloom mountains provide excellent walks and magnificent countryside which has an abundance of varied flora and fauna. Croghan Hill too has excellent walks and is rich in geological, archaeological and historical aspects.

Croghan Hill Stables is set on 22 acres of the Hill of Croghan, Co. Offaly, which is in the centre of Ireland.

The surrounding area of this accommodation is the centre of top quality outdoor pursuits, such as hill walking, archaeology, geology, shooting, fishing, golf and wildlife.

It is the centre of the Bog of Allen which is a haven for all sort of wildlife and breathtaking scenery.

The cottage, which enjoys a panoramic view, is 3 Star Irish Tourist Board Approved
