Designed along the lines of a 19th century village, Coolbawn Quay is complete with village green, meandering streets and lanes, wild flower meadows, cottage gardens and leafy walks. Our Accommodation is quietly understated and luxurious. Guests can choose to stay in a Village Room, a Lakeshore Suite or one of the charming Houses or Cottages. 

The Resort facilities include: Clubhouse Bar and Restaurant, Aqua Spa with Counter Current Pool, Sauna, Steam and Relaxation Room, Treatment Rooms, School House Conference Hall and Private Marina.

Cottages, Suites and Rooms
Whether you visit Coolbawn Quay alone or as part of a larger party we have the ideal accommodation for you.


A Village Room is intimate and cosy with CD Player and Video Player, if required.   For those desiring that little extra space, stay in one of our beautiful lakeshore suites, with seperate bedroom and drawing room,  and a wonderful view overlooking the harbour.
For larger parties we offer spacious accommodation in a Village House or Cottage with two, three and four bedroomed options.  All bedrooms have a full bathroom attached creating total privacy within the property.   Each property has its own secluded garden with deck, open fire, CD Player, TV/Video Player, and all the comforts of home.  A housekeeper is available to serve Breakfast and Dinner by prior request in the privacy of your Cottage.   Over the winter months fires are lit on arrival.
Close to the Village are established walks in the Comminchas and Portumna Forest Parks covering hundreds of sylvan acres.
On the lake you can enjoy a whole range of water activities from cruising and sailing to skiing and wind surfing.   Relax and spend a day fishing or perhaps a round of Golf  at Nenagh or Portumna Golf Clubs, the choice is yours.
  Whatever your choice of activity, we shall be delighted to make the necessary arrangements for you.

The Aqua Therapy Spa includes Countercurrent Pool with Sauna and Steam Room with a relaxing Yoga Room overlooking the lake.
