Just behind the leafy Mount Pleasant Square, 2 minutes from Ranelagh and the Grand Canal, and less than a 15 minute walk into the city centre, this pristine and spacious home offers tranquility and peace. With light maple floors, scattered with oriental rugs, and huge skylights, it is a light and airy house. It was built in 1997, and has just been bought by a composer as her Dublin base. It is decorated eclectically, with a mix of antiques, contemporary and ethnic pieces, collected on her travels. It makes a charming and characterful home away from home in the middle of Dublin. The large open plan ground floor has door leading into a small paved garden, ideal for summer barbecues and drinks. The main sitting area has an open fire. The house has t.v., video and, of course, a music system.
The house (1,700 sq. feet) has a large double bedroom with a 6 foot bed and a smaller room with a 5 foot double bed, a bathroom with shower over the tub, a downstairs washroom, a sitting room with cable t.v., open fire and cd player, a dining area with french doors out into a paved garden, and a modern well equipped fitted kitchen with fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, hob and oven. There is also a laundry room with washer dryer. Gas fired central heating.
