Situated between the 14th green and the 15th tee at Bantry Bay Golf Club, and only 200 metres from the clubhouse, this 18 hole championship course was designed by Christy O'Connor Junior and is among the most challenging golf course in all of Ireland - not to mention West Cork!

The Lodge is designed to sleep up to eight adults in comfort, in the four en-suite rooms. Three have a king size bed and a single bed. The fourth is a twin room. Each bedroom is fitted with telephone, TV/video (with CNN and sports channels), and an ISDN Internet access point. The two front-facing bedrooms upstairs, have generous walk-out balconies so you can really enjoy the panoramic view of Bantry Bay and Glengarriff Harbour.

A cleaning, towel and linen service is provided for our guests. A drying room is available for storage and drying of your sports/activity gear. All of our fixtures and furnishings are of the highest executive standard because we want to try and surpass your expectations!

A beautifully laid out, fully equipped, solid Birch kitchen/dining area is one of the outstanding features of the Lodge. Designed with elegant living and ease of use in mind. Here you will be able to prepare and entertain in style. Everything you need to produce dishes of the highest quality can be found in this kitchen. A Utility/Launry room adjacent to the kitchen houses the washing machine and dryer.

Magnificent views are a feature of Caher Lodge. The living and kitchen / dining rooms have French doors opening out onto solid pine raised deck. The Living Room is furnished with luxury and comfort in mind. Digital TV/Video/Stereo and Internet access are all included.

Caher Lodge, as the logo suggests, is to be found right in the middle of Bantry Bay Golf Course, in West Cork, one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland. Within easy reach of Cork airport (1 hour) and Shannon airport (3 hours) it is also the perfect place to base yourself for a touring holiday. Killarney is only 1 hour away, and all of West Cork is within easy reach.

Using Caher Lodge as a base, you can explore West Cork and Kerry. Both counties have a wonderful choice of the best in golf courses. From the awesome 'Old Head' Course at Kinsale in the east, over to the world famous courses at Kenmare, Ring of Kerry at Tempelnoe, Parknasilla and Killarney in the west, the visitor is truly spoilt for choice and remember, both car rental and texi service are available locally.

As well as the family size swimming pool and tennis court which are part of our complex, you can avail of Guided Hill-Walking Tours, Pony Trekking, Horse Riding, Fishing and Sea Angling, there are some excellent salmon rivers nearby, such as the Bandon, Ilen and Coomhola, and lakes too numerous to mention.

We also boast Watersports and Adventure Centres, Stately Homes and Historical Sites. Add in some world famous restaurants, great pubs, excellent live music and loads of 'craic' and you can see . . . it really is time for a change!

Cancellations: Should you cancel the reservation more than 70 days prior to the dates reserved, we will make every effort to re-let the property for the dates cancelled. If we succeed, your deposit (less any costs incurred) will be returned or may be offset against a future reservation. For cancellations received within 70 days of the rental date, the full rental charges shall apply.

Length of Stay: One week rental is Saturday to Saturday. Our aim is to meet and satisfy your needs so we try to be flexible about the duration of rentals between October and May. Talk to us, therefore, if you are planning a long weekend.

Property Description: The number staying at the property must not, under any circumstances, exceed the number on the Reservation Form. Extra unauthorised guests will invalidate the booking and this could result in immediate on-the-spot levies or cancellation of the booking.

Damage Security Deposits: A security deposit is required. This is held against damage, breakage and loss and is refunded, less any legitimate deductions. Where damage or loss exceeds the security deposit the balance will be debited to your credit card. Telecommunications useage will be added to your final account. Guests are requested to leave the Lodge clean on departure - otherwise a final cleaning charge will be requested or deducted from the security deposit.

Linen: Bed linen and towels are provided at Caher Lodge. Towels are changed daily and bed linen is changed every third day. Cot/crib linen is not supplied.

Animals: Unfortunately, we cannot accept any bookings including animals.
