Belle Isle is a working farm on an island in Lough Erne, connected to the mainland by a bridge. Dating from the early 17th century, the Hamilton Wing is the oldest part of the Belle Isle Mansion House. It has been refurbished to create luxury self-catering accommodation, with a full range of modern specifications that blend in with the original period grandeur. This harmony between modernity and antiquity is the careful work of an esteemed international interior designer.

The entrance hall is a 30 foot double vaulted chamber with arched windows and doors, and dining table.

The centrepiece of the elegant drawing room is the magnificent open fireplace, crowned by an overmantel mirror. This spacious room is complemented by the selection of fine furnishings, antiques and Russian Paintings. Floor length windows open out onto a lovely sunken garden. drawing.jpg (13259 bytes)
The Grand Hall is available for special occasions and family celebrations. This vast banqueting hall has its own minstrel's gallery and can seat 22 people. Use of this room is an optional extra. gallery.jpg (20971 bytes)
All bedrooms are furnished with crafted pine furniture or antiques.

The fitted kitchen has a four-oven Aga, farmhouse table with ten chairs, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave oven.

There is also an inner hall with umbrella stand, gun cabinet, pay phone and a cloak room.

All the reception rooms have been furnished with antique furniture.

 

All bedrooms are furnished with crafted pine furniture or antiques. A total of 14 people can be accommodated in the Hamilton Wing. The facilities of the mansion House include an all-weather tennis court in the old walled garden, game shooting and boat hire. Specialist-pike fishing, and stalking can be arranged with prior notice.
