Oct 9th (Sunday)

Cross the Shannon into Country Clare.  Vistit the gardens at Tarbert House and Vandeleur Walled Gardens near Killimer.

Set among 420 acres of native woodland and had not been cultivated for many years until restoration work began in 1997. As a forgotten garden it has been re-designed for the 21st century around the old path system and specialises in many unusual and tender plants that thrive in the area’s uniquely  western latitude microclimate.
Beautifully constructed walls contain this sheltered garden, once the walled garden for Kilrush House..     On to the Cliffs of Moher and St Bridgets well.  Lunch here, then into Ennistymon to Willie Daly's  Riding School.  3 hour ride.  Willie is Ireland's very own Horse Whisperer & Matchmaker!    Return to Moy House.

Oct 10th

By way of Corofin in the heart of the Burren to Kilmacudagh, an early religous site.  On to Gort to the tower of the poet WB Yeats.  Back south to Ennis, the county town of Clare.  Visit Bunratty Castle and folk park and then return to Moy.

  Bunratty

Oct 11th

Across the Burren to Ballyvaughan and then along the shore of Galway bay to Gaway City, possibly visiting an oyster bar on the way.  Explore the medieval city of Galway and then return across the Eastern Burren via Dunguaire Castle and the prehistoric Dolmen of Poulnabrone.  There might be some good antiquing that day as well, if that would not disrupt marital harmony!
