Highlights - Waterford , Kinsale, Cork, Limerick, Connemara, and Dublin . 

Arrive Dublin Airport . Pick up your self drive car and head south on the highway through County Kildare , County Wicklow and County Carlow. Your first night, some 60 miles south of Dublin is in the village of Bunclody, famed in song, where you stay at the 4* Mill Race Hotel.

You may wish to drive straight to the hotel. Or you may prefer to seek out some of the sites en route - Russborough House, The Stone Circle at Castleruddery, The Neolithic fort at Rathgall, the gardens at Altamont... 

 

Once at the hotel the Spa features 7 treatment rooms, which includes a relaxation room where you can relax and enjoy light refreshments or a herbal tea before, or at the completion of your spa journey.

It offers a wide selection of relaxing and revitalizing treatments to suit both men and women, addressing the mind, body and spirit. Let the warm jets of the Hydrotherapy bath melt your tensions away, or experience a Rassul 'Arabian' cleansing ritual which can be enjoyed alone or with a friend or partner. Rich mud from the Morocco & the Dead Seas are applied over the body before entering the steam chamber, where you can sit comfortable and let the Rassul do it's magic.

Also on offer are a range of Anti-ageing facials that firms, rejuvenates and plumps up the skin, resulting in a more youthful appearance, or try a relaxing massages to release the body of tension and stress. You will be totally revitalized after having a refreshing & toning scrub, or wrap.

The product range and the ingredients have not only been special chosen to address your needs, but to elevate the total spa experience to obtain the best results. The team of professional and friendly staff are always at hand to advise and assist you in every detail of your spa experience and can also tailor a pampering package or spa day to suit your needs. The treatment menu offers over 50 treatments & packages. C Spa guests are also welcome to use the pool facilities.

Your tour includes a complimentary 90 minute well being treatment at any one of the Spas that you will visit.  - Choose from one of the following:- 
A Chakra Colour, Hydra or a Enriching Milk Bath,  Green Tea Detoxing or Grape Hydrating wrap.  Or a Swedish Full Body Massage.  This must be booked prior to arrival.

Day 2 

Follow the Blackstairs Mountains by way of New Ross, with the JFK Dunbrody to Waterford Crystal. Carry on through Sir Walter Raleigh’s walled city of Youghal to the Midleton Distillery. Overnight in the enchanting harbour town of Kinsale, gourmet capital of Ireland . 

The Kinsale C Spa features 10 treatments rooms, which includes a 'Couples Suite', where you and your partner or a friend can enjoy a total pampering treatment or package together. The relaxation room overlooks the beautiful Oysterhaven Bay, where you can partake and enjoy a cool juice or a herbal tea before, or at the completion of your spa journey, while soaking up the splendid view.  Let the warm jets of the Hydrotherapy bath melt your tensions away, or float into deep relaxation when partaking in a Dry Floatation chamber, while enjoying a luxurious facial to hydrate and rejuvenate your skin.

 

Your accommodation is in The Carlton Hotel, located 5km from the heart of Kinsale Town.  Set on 90 acres of mature wooded parkland with panoramic views overlooking Oysterhaven Bay,  it provides the highest standard.  You'll love the tranquil surroundings, rugged coastline, and Kinsale's beautiful harbour location, maze of narrow streets, wide range of maritime activities, a myriad of gourmet restaurants and superb golf courses.

Day 3 

The town of Kinsale is a place to spend a day. The Old Head golf course, south of Kinsale, is uniquely challenging being surrounded by cliffs that fall steeply down to the sea. Touring to the west you will find brightly painted villages, mad folk museums, amazing sub tropical gardens and host of craft workers, farmhouse cheese producers and enchanting cafes, bars and restaurants. As you carry on down the coast the golden beaches begin to disappear. By the time you reach Mizen Head the seascape is as wild as anywhere in the world with the Fastnet light flashing its warning in the distance. To spend the morning in Kinsale and have lunch there, and then to explore villages such as Timoleague, with it abbey, Clonakilty with its magical model village, Roscarbery, and some of the tower houses and forts along the coastal route. Alternatively head east to see Cobh Harbour (and Barryscourt Castle ).

 

Alternatively 

Drive into Cork and park - explore the English Market and the little streets around the Cork Art Gallery. Ring the bells of St Anne's and visit the city gaol before heading out to Blarney Castle, famous for its kissable stone,  for lunch and shopping opportunities. 

 

Return to Kinsale. 

Day 4 

From Cork you'll head up to Limerick,  a busy city and has several major attractions - the Hunt Museum in the 18th century customs house, King John's Castle, St Mary's Cathedral and the Georgian House on Pery Square . After Limerick head out towards Shannon, stopping off at Bunratty Castle and folk park on the way.  Carry on through Gort where you can see Coole Park with its autograph tree and Thoor Ballylee, home of the poet WB Yeats. At Kilcolgan consider a stop for refreshments at Morans of the Weir, a thatched oyster bar patronised by John Wayne & Noel Coward. Carry on through Ballinrobe to Wesport to stay at The Atlantic Coast Hotel on Westport Quay.  This historic mill, which was run by the family of Sean McBride of Geneva Convention fame, was recently converted into a most attractive hotel.

Day 5

Explore Connemara  -  Westport is an attractive seaside heritage town with a central mall, Georgian houses and tree-lined streets, a pleasant place to spend a little time. You might wish to visit Lord Altamount's Westport House, which dates from the 18th Century to see the once elegantly furnished rooms and splendid plasterwork. From here on into North Connemara which is renowned for its misty mountains, the Twelve Bens. Through Leenane, for a stop in the village where the movie "The Field" was made in 1990. Drive through villages where the Irish language is still spoken. Visit the romantic 19th Century Kylemore Abbey, now a girls' school. Travel on to Clifden on the Atlantic coast. Return to Westport along the banks of Lough Mask.

 

Day 6

By way of the Castlebar, Longford and Mullingar to Dublin . Sites that might detain you en route are the Museum at Turlough Park, Strokestown House and Gardens, and the largest Georgian mansion in Ireland at Castletown. Check into your Dublin hotel at around lunch time.  Dublin has long been a centre of art and culture. Stroll through the elegant Georgian streets of Merrion and Fitzwilliam Squares, shop in the elegant emporiums of Grafton Street and Powerscourt Townhouse, explore the collections of the National Museum and National Gallery, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, and many fine small private collections. The range of art and artefacts is enormous, and you will have no problem spending many hours enthralled.. The city is over a thousand years old, and many of the towns and settlements that surround it are equally ancient. Successive centuries have left their distinctive overlays of character and architecture which means that Dublin has a wealth of historically significant and fascinating sights to explore such as Dublin Castle, where the Normans ruled from the 12th Century, St Patrick's Cathedral, of which Jonathan Swift was Dean, and Trinity College, famous for The Book of Kells and for its alumni who include Oscar Wilde and Oliver Goldsmith. And no visit to Dublin could be complete without visiting either the Old Whiskey Distillery or the Guinness Storehouse!  Overnight at the delightful Trinity Capital Hotel, Burlington Hotel or similar city centre accommodation.

Tonight experience a traditional Irish dinner with music dance and song in a historic hostelry.
